I'm a technology industry executive and entrepreneur. I work with growth companies and their investors in a variety of ways at InsideRound Financial.
Previously, I was Senior Vice President at NASDAQ Private Market and proud of my role as founding COO & EVP Marketplace of SharesPost (now NPM.COM) which NASDAQ acquired in February 2013. I was responsible for 30+ partnerships resulting in $1B+ of transactional value, 80,000+ research reports downloaded and 120,000+ market participants.
Prior to NASDAQ/SharesPost, I was with Sun Microsystems for 5+ years, most recently as head of corporate development for Java-related businesses which is on every desktop and embedded in most every cell phone and smart card. I also drove platform development, launched new products and created alliances and licensed technology for this market leader.
Prior to Sun, I led business and corporate development for two venture-backed startups that are now part of market leaders (Akamai & Wine.com) as well as worked at AOL to launch one of the early marketplaces (ClassifiedsPlus).
In sum, over the past 20+ years, I've been fortunate to participate in the Internet's commercialization from the vantage point of leading firms as well as vanguard startups. Functionally, I focus on general management, strategic marketing and new business planning with a healthy dose of get-it-done execution and fundraising.
As an entrepreneur, I am passionate about the development of new services and business models but focus this interest on market requirements and a clear path to profit. As an executive, I enjoy working with people of integrity and helping those colleagues to develop their careers.
